The Great White® Ultra Bur, Ideal for Crown Preparation

Traditional diamond instruments often clog during the bulk reduction task in crown preparation. The diamond particles tend to clog with debris, particularly when cutting non-brittle substrates like amalgam. There is no clear way to wash away the debris. As a result diamonds quickly lose their cutting efficiency. Unlike a diamond, the Great White® Ultra bur provides a faster cutting speed, with less operator pressure resulting in easier instrument advancement.

The Great White® Ultra Bur vs. Diamond Instruments

  • Cuts faster (up to 40%) and with significantly less effort than diamonds
  • Cuts restorative material faster and easier and transitions between different substrates with monimal clogging and no drag
  • Results in less chair time and greater efficiency for the practice
  • Bladed cutting tip leaves smooth precise margins
  • Less operator fatigue due to feather touch application
  • Save up to 4 minutes when cutting a 10 minute crown preparation*
